Zachery Ty Bryan, best known as Brad Taylor from the ’90s hit sitcom Home Improvement, was arrested on October 25 in Oklahoma on suspicion of driving under the influence—marking his second DUI charge this year. According to Custer County sheriff’s records, Bryan was taken into custody by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after being found without a valid driver’s license.

Fox News obtained dashcam footage of the arrest, revealing Bryan refusing a sobriety test. In the video, he can be heard saying, “I’m just a good dude, man. I don’t know why everybody… I’m sorry I like to drink.” The footage shows the officer placing Bryan in the front seat of the patrol car before taking him to jail.

The arrest occurred after a trooper discovered Bryan asleep in his Range Rover parked by the roadside. When Bryan started his vehicle and drove past, the trooper pulled him over. Bryan admitted to being “intoxicated” and explained that he had pulled over because he knew he “couldn’t drive.” During the exchange, Bryan expressed disdain for California, saying he was “running from California right now” and adding that he “hates that place.”

According to the probable cause affidavit, Bryan’s driver’s license had already been suspended due to a prior DUI. When questioned by the officers, Bryan admitted to having “multiple” DUI incidents. He reportedly lowered his head, saying, “Everyone depends on me, man.” During the sobriety test, Bryan mentioned he just wanted to sleep, and when asked if he felt safe to drive, he responded, “No.” The trooper then placed him under arrest for suspected DUI.

This recent arrest adds to a series of legal troubles for the former actor. Earlier this year, Bryan was arrested in California under similar DUI circumstances. He also faced serious charges in 2022 for domestic violence, robbery, and harassment in Oregon, a case that followed a similar incident in 2020 when he was charged with assault after a dispute with his girlfriend. Though many charges were dropped, Bryan pleaded guilty to assault and menacing in 2021, receiving 36 months of probation and a fine.

Bryan, who starred as Brad Taylor from 1991 to 1999, transitioned into smaller roles after Home Improvement, including appearances in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Thor: Hammer of the Gods. His most recent acting role was in 2022’s The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!)

Despite his past success, Bryan’s recent struggles have cast a shadow over his Hollywood legacy, leaving fans and followers questioning the future of the former child star.
