Sarah Ferguson, affectionately known as Fergie, made a heartfelt tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on the second anniversary of her passing. As the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, Queen Elizabeth’s favorite son, Fergie has maintained a close connection with the royal family, and her latest gesture reflects her deep admiration for the late monarch.
On Sunday, September 8th, Fergie shared a special post on Instagram, revealing a unique way she chose to honor the memory of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch. Fergie, who is also a children’s book author, featured her beloved character, “Little Red,” dressed in an outfit created by the Queen’s personal hatmaker, Stella McLaren.
“For the anniversary of Her Late Majesty The Queen’s passing, I asked Stella McLaren, Her Majesty’s hat maker, and milliner, to make a little outfit for Little Red to wear, as I believe it’s so important to keep memories in all different ways,” Fergie shared in her Instagram Story, alongside a photo of the doll dressed in the custom outfit.
The tribute featured a charming detail that resonated with the late Queen’s personal tastes—ladybirds, which Queen Elizabeth adored. Fergie further expressed the importance of honoring the Queen’s legacy, encouraging people to support the many charitable causes associated with her.
“Stella was delighted to honor Her Late Majesty The Queen, whom Stella misses so much,” Fergie added.
This touching tribute comes after Queen Elizabeth’s corgis were transferred to Fergie’s care following the monarch’s death in 2022. Fergie continues to pay respect to Queen Elizabeth’s legacy, both through her personal actions and public gestures.
Following Fergie’s tribute, King Charles and Queen Camilla also posted a remembrance on their official social media channels.
