Hailey first graced the reality TV world in 2017, vying for Nick Viall’s heart when she was only 23. Described as a passionate photographer, her vibrant personality made an impression both on and off the screen.
Her battle with leukemia was chronicled through a GoFundMe page set up by her family to support her treatment costs. Despite a brief period of remission celebrated in April, where Hailey joyously declared herself “LEUKEMIA FREE!!!!” after an experimental treatment and stem cell transplant, the disease returned aggressively. Her brother, who was her stem cell donor, had helped her fight the long odds of recovery. Sadly, the leukemia cells reappeared swiftly, and Hailey’s condition deteriorated.
The fundraising page has gathered over $112,000 CAD, nearing its $125,000 goal, thanks to nearly 900 contributors. The funds are intended to cover the overwhelming costs faced by Hailey’s mother, Michele, and assist the family during this challenging time. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to continue supporting them through this financial burden.
Hailey’s wishes for no official funeral were respected; instead, her family encourages those who knew her to leave messages and memories on her Instagram page, creating a virtual space of commemoration and support.
Her last message to her supporters in April reflected her enduring optimism and spirit: “Don’t sweat the small stuff ;).” This sentiment resonates as her friends, family, and fans remember her resilience and the joy she brought to their lives.
