Harrison Ford recently had his fellow cast members of “Captain America: Brave New World” in stitches when he humorously refused to answer a question comparing his upcoming Marvel character to Indiana Jones. In the film, Ford takes on the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and his alias, Red Hulk, while Giancarlo Esposito plays the villain, Sidewinder, king of the Serpent Society.

During a group interview with the main cast, Entertainment Weekly’s Gerrad Hall posed a playful question to Ford: “Who deals better with snakes, Indy or Thaddeus Ross?”

Ford cleverly deflected by referencing another of his iconic characters. “This is a ‘Who shot first, Greedo or Han Solo,’” Ford said, alluding to the infamous “Star Wars” debate. He continued, “I’ve always treated these questions with the utmost respect and somehow, at the same time, complete disdain. I will not answer that stupid question.”

His witty response sent the cast into fits of laughter. Ford, maintaining his dry humor, added, “But thank you. Delighted to have the opportunity.”

Interestingly, Ford had previously refused to settle the “Greedo or Han” debate during a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session in 2014, where he bluntly stated, “I don’t know and I don’t care.”

However, when it comes to snakes, Ford was more open. Despite Indiana Jones’ well-known fear of the slithery creatures, Ford admitted, “I actually like snakes! When I was young, I was a Boy Scout nature camp counselor, and one of our projects was collecting snakes and creating an environment for them, so I’m quite familiar with snakes and think they’re fantastic creatures,” he shared on Reddit.

“Captain America: Brave New World” is slated to hit theaters in February, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see Ford in his new Marvel role. The full interview with Entertainment Weekly offers more insights into the film and its characters.

Ford’s ability to effortlessly blend humor with his legendary persona continues to charm audiences and colleagues alike. His playful reluctance to compare his iconic roles only adds to the mystique and enduring appeal of his career. Fans can look forward to seeing more of Ford’s wit and charisma when “Captain America: Brave New World” arrives on the big screen.
