A minor fender bender in a restaurant parking lot turned into a violent incident as the occupants of one vehicle beat an elderly man and woman unconscious, landing both in the hospital. Since the incident in late June, family members claim there have been no consequences, but now Cincinnati is outraged after a video of the fight was shared online.

To clarify, WCPO Chief Meteorologist Steve Raleigh has not been charged with any crime. Local news outlet CityBeat reports he was not present during the attack in The Boathouse parking lot. Despite some claiming to identify him in the video, CityBeat states that his son, Carter Raleigh, was named as the other driver involved in the minor collision,  the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

However, local attorney Eric Deters posted on X (formerly Twitter) asserting that Steve Raleigh is indeed shown in the video, stating, “Hope the family contacts me.” Following this, Steve Raleigh seemingly deleted all his social media accounts.

The altercation occurred on June 22, leaving Stacie Morrow-Stickrod, daughter of the victims, frustrated by the lack of criminal charges. On July 10, she took to Facebook to express her concerns, stating, “I feel like there has been so much time that has passed with no arrest made, and continuing to watch my mom struggle is hard to swallow.”

Her mother not only was knocked unconscious but also suffered multiple injuries, including cuts and bruises, a concussion, a skull fracture, bleeding on the brain, a contusion on the back of her head that had to be stapled shut, and a detached lens on her eye.

Morrow-Stickrod also shared the only video she has of the incident, asking others to share their footage since there “were lots of witnesses.”

According to the New York Post, the minor crash was caused by Carter Raleigh failing to yield to traffic in the parking lot, resulting in a collision between his grandfather’s Cadillac Escalade and the elderly couple’s Ford F-150. When the elderly man insisted on calling the police, the other party reacted violently. Morrow-Stickrod claims her father “suspected they had been drinking,” which might have triggered the aggression.

This incident has sparked widespread outrage in Cincinnati. The community is rallying behind the victims, demanding justice and accountability. The brutality of beating an elderly couple over a minor collision has left many appalled, emphasizing that such violent reactions are unacceptable, regardless of the circumstances.
