Kris Jenner has encountered an unexpected detour in her health journey. After a tumor was discovered on one of her ovaries, doctors advised the reality star to undergo a hysterectomy.
“I’m gonna have a hysterectomy,” Jenner confided in friends Kathy Hilton and Faye Resnick on the July 11 episode of “The Kardashians.” “It started out as just getting some ovaries removed, and then today I got a phone call”, told E! Online.
The 68-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan explained that her doctor recommended removing both her ovaries and uterus to ensure the best outcome for her health. “They found something, we’re here to fix it,” Jenner said. “I’m going to remove something that gave me six of the best parts of my whole life.”
Despite telling her friends she was “fine” with the procedure, Jenner admitted in a confessional that she felt “very sad” about this significant change. “I’m very emotional about it because when you’re young, you start talking about wanting a family,” she explained. “It was all we talked about literally for 40, 50 years. So, here we are now talking about it again, and it’s the other side of the process.”
Jenner’s children, including Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner, were all informed about their mother’s surgery plans. The support of her friends and family has been a crucial part of her journey. In a teaser for the July 18 episode of “The Kardashians,” Jenner is seen recovering at home with visits from Khloe and Scott Disick.
“I’m done with my surgery,” she told the cameras, “and I feel great!”
