Berry has clearly leaned into the spring trend of effortless cuts, opting for an angular bob that falls just below her ears and unique microbangs which provide a fun twist to the classic look. The 54-year-old actress showed off her new look at the 2021 Oscars with her partner Van Hunt at her side, looking radiant as she walked the empty red carpet.
Berry has experimented with just about every look in the book, from a highlighted pixie cut to effortless caramel waves, but this is certainly the boldest style she has opted for to date. However, the actress later took to Instagram to reveal that the shocking new look was nothing more than an impressive wig, and her stunning long locks were still intact. Grinning in a sun kissed selfie, she captioned the image, “Oscar bob…just kidding”
While many fans were overwhelmed with Berry’s new look, others were quick to praise her for keeping her hair long. One commented, “Of course! I didn’t believe it for a second!” Meanwhile, another wrote, “So glad that was a wig – your natural hair is gorgeous.” If Halle has proven anything over the years it’s that no hairstyle is off limits.
