These 3 new COVID-19 symptoms aren’t officially listed, experts warn

Experts have warned that these are the three new COVID-19 symptoms you need to know about. Doctors demand clinical review.

Researchers are calling for an “urgent clinical review” after a review of numerous studies revealed COVID-19 patients are suffering from these three new symptoms.

According to the National Health Service, the three main symptoms of a COVID-19 infection are a persistent cough, a loss of taste/smell, and a high temperature.

Now, experts at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) with experts at the British Tinnitus and American Tinnitus Associations have found that 40% of people who are COVID-19 symptomatic are displaying an increase in tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

Professor Kevin Munro, who led the study at the University of Manchester, wrote in the Internal Journal of Audiology, “There is an urgent need for a carefully conducted clinical and diagnostic study to understand the long-term effects of Covid-19 on the auditory system.

It is also well-known that viruses such as measles, mumps and meningitis can cause hearing loss; little is understood about the auditory effects of the Sars-Cov-2 virus.”

Researchers also analyzed 56 studies and found that 7.6% of people experienced hearing loss, which has led researchers to believe there is a strong association between COVID-19 and hearing loss. On top of that, researchers also found that 7.2% of COVID-19 patients analyzed in those studies experienced vertigo.
