Brad Pitt Finally Responds to “Domestic Abuse” Allegations From His Child and Angelina

Wow, this makes it sounds like the allegations may be legit…

Last week, we reported that the Hollywood star Angelina Jolie had accused her ex Brad Pitt of committing domestic violence as their messy divorce battle continues. Now, a source close to Pitt is saying that he is absolutely “heartbroken” over the claims that Jolie is making.

Last week, Jolie filed court documents indicating that both she and the six children she shares with Pitt are willing to offer testimony and “proof and authority in support” of her allegations against the actor.

“Brad is heartbroken that Angelina has gone that route. There’s a lot of emotion left after their marriage,” the source close to Pitt told Page Six. “He has taken responsibility for his actions and owned up to his past issues, he’s stopped drinking.”

“The marriage was very passionate and toxic at times and — like all couples — they had fights, but also shared many good times together,” the source added. “He has talked about his drink and drug problems during the time they were together.”

Pitt has never been arrested or faced charges for any kind of domestic abuse. While there was a widely-publicized incident aboard a private jet with his family, he was never charged for it.

“Brad and his camp has never attacked Angelina. But his camp feels this leak was calculated to sway opinion ahead of the conclusion of their trial,” the source said. “Brad feels like he’s being more and more isolated from his children, and he’s devastated about it.”

Pitt and Jolie split in 2016, and they have been engaged in a bitter custody battle over their six children ever since. Back in 2016, Pitt was cleared of child abuse claims by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Child and Family Services. At the time, Jolie said that she was relieved that both investigations had come to an end.

“The job of the DCFS is to make sure the children are in a safe and secure situation,” she said in a statement released through a spokesperson. “As we said earlier this week, childcare professionals encouraged a legal agreement accepted and signed by both sides that was in the best interest of the children.”
