Kourtney Kardashian has revealed she froze her eggs at 39 after confirming she’s now dating Travis Barker.
The reality star, 41, is uncertain about having more kids in the future, but the option is there if she decides to take it.
Kourtney revealed how she got ‘talked into’ freezing her eggs two years ago on Sarah Hyland’s Lady Parts series.
The mother-of-three explained: “I froze mine and hopefully they’re sitting there OK just for — you never know.
“I really got talked into it. I was like, ‘OK, whatever, I’ll do it one time since everyone else is doing it. I might as well’.”
She was convinced by her younger sister Khloe Kardashian, who joked it wasn’t ‘easy’ to get Kourtney – who is mum to kids Mason, Penelope and Reign – to do it.
Discussing her initial resistance, Kourtney said: “I’m someone who’s like, ‘What’s God’s plan? Am I supposed to get pregnant on my own at 41?’
“Maybe that’s God’s plan. I’m more like that. That’s I think why I never did the planning. I live in a Disney world.”
The TV star compared her experience to a ‘deep breath’.
“I was 39 and was about to turn 40 and just felt like people were saying, ‘If you’re gonna do it, you’ve gotta do it now’.
“[I was like], ‘OK, everyone stop rushing me. I don’t know if I even want to have another kid or if that’s, like, in the future or whatever. I think doing that… and having the control of my body just gave me a peace of mind.”
It comes after the Poosh owner went public with the Blink-182 drummer in recent weeks.
She confirmed their relationship with a sweet Instagram post, with the new couple holding hands.
In the snap, Kourtney’s hand is entwined in Travis’s as they give their first public show of affection for each other.
The reality star posted the pic without comment but her post was soon filled with messages of congratulations as more then 650,000 fans liked the post within 30 minutes of it going live.
They have been friends for almost a decade, after finding themselves living opposite each other in Calabasas.
Their friendship has grown into a more romantic relationship after they started dating and the Kardashian family enthusing about their coupling.
