Alex Rodriguez has been in some hot water over the past several months as allegations of infidelity have arisen against the baseball star who is currently engaged to Jennifer Lopez.
However, a source close to Lopez recently spoke out, revealing that “Everything is fine with Alex. She doesn’t let the cheating rumors get to her and chooses not to pay attention.” Is there trouble in paradise? It’s unclear.
The rumors first began when Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy was accused of having an affair with a Miami based “ex-MLB player.” During a reunion of the show, one of LeCroy’s cast members made allegations that she had cheated on her boyfriend at the time with this man, who people began to believe was A Rod.
Host of the reunion Andy Cohen only added fuel to the fire, saying that the man was “married.” However, Rodriguez is not actually married, and is currently engaged to Lopez. The pair have been dating since 2017 and got engaged in 2019 after a very public romance.
LeCroy recently revealed to Page Six that she and Rodriguez did not have a physical affair–he was merely an “acquaintance” and they had only ever spoken on the phone.
Lopez does not seem to be bothered by the allegations against her beau, with a source sharing that she will soon be heading to the Dominican Republic to work on a new film, and she trusts Rodriguez enough to leave him to his own devices.
“A-Rod is not going with her to the Dominican. He has his own work and a busy schedule. This is her thing, and she’s very excited to get started on the project. They are celebrating Valentine’s Day in Miami,” the source reveals.
This is not the first time that Rodriguez has been embroiled in rumors of an affair, but hopefully it’s the last. The former baseball player and his superstar fiance have yet to set a date for their wedding, but ideally this scandal will keep his eyes from wandering.
