Michael Jackson Still King

Michael Jackson’s rhinestone encrusted glove that the king of pop used in his moonwalk was sold at an auction in New York for a whopping $350,000!!!

The glove was the one he wore when he introduced the masses to the moonwalk for the first time in 1983. The glove still has marked on it “Made in Korea”. It is one of the most famous iconic accessories of pop history, worn by the king of pop himself at a momentous music occasion. The glove was appraised to be sold for anywhere from 40 to 60 thousand dollars. Everything that was owned by Michael Jackson that was auctioned at the “Music Icons” sale sold for more than predicted.

The glove was bought by Hoffman Ma for $350,000 and after taxes Mr. Ma will have to pay over $420,000. The 36 year old buyer of MJ history said that according to him he got a bargain. Ma had purchased the glove on behalf of the Ponte 16 Resort Hotel in Macau.

Michael Jackson’s 1987 leather jacket that he wore for his “Bad World Tour” sold for $225,000, when it was actually estimated to sell for $10,000. A fedora hat that was appraised at $2,000 was sold for $22,000. An autographed photo of The Jackson Five was sold for $1,600 instead of the estimated $200.
Even in death, he still remains the king.

The late Michael Jackson also won four posthumous awards, including Favorite Pop/Rock Artist, an impressive achievement when you’re not alive, bringing his AMA career total to 25.
