Robert Pattinson came over all camera shy on Sunday evening after a night out in Hollywood with a mystery date. The 27-year-old actor was spotted leaving the Roosevelt Hotel after taking in a show by Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake at The Rose Bowl, but appeared slightly reluctant to have his picture taken as he made his way home.
Even more reluctant was his companion, a middle-aged blonde woman who clearly wasn’t in the mood for a photo-opportunity. Indeed, she furiously shielded her face as they made their way up the street, revealing some curious childlike tattoos on her lower arms. The unidentified date also revealed the absence of a bra beneath her see-through smock dress, an outfit she teamed with black leggings and matching Reebok high-tops.
While she covered her face, Rob kept his eyes glued to the sidewalk, his chin buried into his chest and a hood pulled over his head as he tried his best to prevent photographers getting a clear shot of his face. The actor looked typically casual in a white t-shirt and distressed jeans, while a red baseball cap was evident beneath his black hood.
Rob has been linked to a string of women since ending his relationship with Kristen Stewart earlier this year – amongst them singer Katy Perry, model Camille Rowe and blonde playwright Polly Stenham, who laughed off rumours of a budding romance with the actor after she was pictured with her arm round him during a night out.
But while he appears to be playing the field, friends say he hasn’t ruled out a dramatic reconciliation with Twilight co-star Kristen, despite the acrimonious nature of their split. ‘At this point Rob’s just going to focus on making great cinema and hanging out with his friends,’ a source told HollywoodLife, adding: ‘He’s told friends that during a different time and different circumstances, they could make it work.’
Meanwhile, Kristen – whose fling with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Saunders was revealed last year – is said to be struggling without Rob. ‘Kristen is a damn mess,’ the source claimed. ‘She’s been regretting cheating every day since she got caught and she’s convinced that she could still have Rob if not for that.’
