How to Know you are Ready for Marriage

People who are ready for marriage have to accept the fact that from this point in life, everything will be around and for one person- that is your partner. Being ready for marriage may not be as easy as it seems thus think wisely over the signs and indications for ready for marriage.

Sharing your lives with one partner, having steady sex for life and the possibility of kids crosses are all common fears of people not ready for marriage.

Men and marriage–usually seen as two poles apart. Men are stereo typed as being disloyal which always not the case is. There are many who are ready for marriage but usually they have a specific time. Thus men have their own biological clocks.

1) Going’ On

It takes two whole people to make a whole relationship. This means you enjoy a full life with friends, family, a career and social life that fulfil you. You’re confident, and you don’t expect marriage to instantly fix your problems.

2) You Enjoy the humdrum Moments

Marriage is not one long date. Being ready to get marry means that you truly enjoy each other’s company and will enjoy throughout your life.

3) You’re Ready to Burn your past (Little Black Book)

Marriage means being exclusive with one person for the rest of your life. In many cases, it also means abandonment contact with your past who may threaten your union.

4) You Bring out the Best in each Other

Cheesy, we know. But ask yourself if this person makes you a better person. Are you kinder, more patient and more pleasant to be around when you’re near to that special one? So your mind has admitted that you are ready for marriage.

5) You’re a Team Lover

Compromise isn’t always half and half, they many a times have to be 100%. Thus the way you handle a situation will indicate you whether you are ready for marriage. It’s not about winning always, but it’s about making your partner win. It’s not about being a spineless person. It’s about using “we” statements and serving someone by not being selfish.

6) You Encourage and Supports Each Other

Before you exchange rings you should already be each other’s biggest fans. If you are really eagerly, sincerely ready for marriage, you will look forward to each other and will want to make the other person feel special.

7) Open Book

If you are ready for marriage, then there would be no topic to hide. You will be open about your reservations, thoughts, frustrations and mess-ups without fear of being judged. You will have a pillow to cry when you feel like crying. If you are ready for marriage, you will be willing to fall in love with that person as he or she would be your ultimate guide and friend.

8) You Fight Fair

Every couple, friend, partners, siblings have conflicts. It’s how you lever them that makes the difference. If you can disagree respectfully, then your relationship will be healthy for marriage.

9) Similar Values

You both want kids or you both don’t want kids. You’re both savers and you’re both spend thrifts. These things don’t matter. A spender and a saver can be the ideal couple as well. Similar values don’t mean you will enforce into your views into others mind. People who are ready for marriages look for way outs.  You don’t have to share a brain – because the beauty of marriage is that you’ll complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

10) Thinking Long Term

Being ready for marriage is when you plan your future with your partner. You start saving on your lunch and put the savings into a “rainy day” bank account. You are planning your holidays or even your weekends with your partner. All these are big indications that you are ready for marriage.

11) You’d Elope

Last but not the least, ask your self- Do you want a marriage or do you want to be married? The experience is fun, but it lasts only one day. Would you still want to spend the rest of your life together even if there were no money, or sex. Ask yourself as to why or not you are ready for marriage.
